| American Red Cross Polk County Chapter The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, provides relief to the victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Every day, Red Cross employees and volunteers provide disaster assistance to local families, serve as a vital communication links between member of the armed forces and their local families and offer lifesaving training on skills such as First Aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillation. All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. |

The agency has enhanced and enriched the lives of thousands of people with disabilities by providing training on independent living techniques and by advocating for the removal of architectural, communication, and attitudinal barriers within the community. Over 50% of the staff and Board of Directors have a disability. CIL is a registered 501(c) (3). Our Winter Park office serves Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties and our Lakeland, Florida office serves Polk, Hardee, Highlands, and DeSoto counties. |

Our efforts are focused on meaningful participation and self-determination in all aspects of live for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Our Center for Applied Behavior Analysis and Therapy provides comprehensive behavior, communication and skill assessment followed by individual and group therapy. Our Camp CABAT provides inclusive and theraputic summer camp opporunties for children and teens with ASD. We provide information and counseling for families who have family members with ASD as well as representation at state and local levels in discussions regarding quality of life policies for person with ASD. |

| Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center The Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center was founded in 1960 in Lakeland, Florida. Today it's mission is to provide the highest quality speech, language and hearing services- always in a caring manner and never limited by one's ability to pay. In 2009, the Center's 30 highly trained staff provided services to nearly 15,000 patients,- children and adults, throughout Polk, Highlands and Hardee Counties. The goal is to ensure everyone with a communication problem has a place to turn for help. The core purpose of the Center is to provide speech and hearing solutions that bring JOY to people's lives. |
| Children's Home Society of Florida Children's Home Society of Florida, Gulf Coast Division (CHS) has been providing services to the Central and Gulf Coast counties since the 1920s. The Gulf Coast Division currently serves nine counties, including Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Manatee, Polk, Hardee, Highlands, DeSoto and Sarasota.The Gulf Coast Division's 300 employees work with more than 5,600 children and families annually by providing a range of services and programs including: emergency residential shelter care and supervision, community-based mentoring, foster care support, child advocacy, child protection team, family visitation center, teen parenting program, and dependency case management. |
