2015 Detroit Tiger BBQ Tickets On Sale

Join us in welcoming back our Detroit Tigers at Joker Marchant Stadium during the Lakeland Chamber’s 69th Annual Tiger BBQ on Thursday, February 26th starting at 6 PM.

This Lakeland tradition kicks off the Detroit Tiger’s 79th Spring Training season and celebrates the 50th year of Tiger baseball at Joker Marchant Stadium—which translates each year into approximately $45 million in economic impact to our area!

Ticket holders will enjoy traditional southern BBQ, a commemorative 2015 souvenir mug and the opportunity support the longest standing Major League Baseball relationship in Spring Training history.   Please join us and fellow Tiger’s supporters in supporting the Chamber’s 69th Annual Tiger BBQ event by clicking here to order tickets.

Polk Emerging Leaders

Polk Emerging Leaders Award Nominations Open Until July 3

Polk Emerging LeadersThis year’s Polk Emerging Leaders Awards will be a partnership between EMERGE Lakeland, Engage Bartow and the Winter Haven Young Professionals Group. The annual awards program honor five young professionals between age 21-42 who have made significant contributions and commitments to the communities where they live and Polk County as a whole. The awards will be presented on Wednesday August 20 at the Bartow Civic Center.

To nominate an individual, please download the nomination form here and email it to info@polkemergingleaders.org. Nominations must be received by July 3, 2014.

Applications will be emailed directly to the nominee and will be due by July 21. Only one application per person will be accepted. There is no entry fee.

Join EMERGE Lakeland for a private showing of the Polk Museum of Art‘s exhibition Stephen Knapp: New Light which features 14 “lightpaintings” by Massachusetts artist Stephen Knapp who uses shards of fused glass to reflect beams of colored light into abstract compositions. This event is sure to be an “enlightening” experience you will not want to miss, as you will get a chance to learn more about the artist and his works while enjoying the company of your fellow Emerge members. Box lunches will be provided.

At Door Price: $25.

 

Member Cost: $10.00 per member.

Guest Cost: $20.00 per guest.

If you answered yes to any of these questions, come out to The Terrace Hotel and join EMERGE Lakeland’s members, and maybe a few new faces, after the work day is over to network, share a few drinks, and have a great time.
This is a completely social event so everyone pays their own tab. Also, bring a friend or two, as always the more the merrier.

EMERGE Lakeland, a professional development and networking group for young professionals ages 21-42, is hosting a casino night on March 31, 2011. This FREE EVENT is open to all young professionals who are interested in advancing their careers and growing in the Lakeland area.

Casino chips can be traded in for prize drawings from gift certificates, golf packages, dinners, and even a plane ride to St. Pete!
