Pray.com Achieves Apple’s Top 10 App Rankings in Lifestyle becoming the #1 app for Prayer & Faith

LOS ANGELES, Calif., and Fort Worth, Texas – Pray.com, the number one app for prayer and faith, became the only religious app to break Apple’s Top 10 lifestyle category. Shortly after launching the app on the campus of Southeastern University, Pray.com’s daily prayers and Bible bedtime stories have gone viral. The app has climbed the charts to number five in Apple’s Lifestyle category.

Pray.com is a free social networking platform for faith-based communities and non-profits that sells premium audio content for people of faith. Pray.com has raised a combined $16 million from backers like Science Inc., Greylock Partners and TPG Growth.

Founded in 2016, Pray.com’s mission is to grow faith and cultivate community. Pray.com helps its members share prayers, give to 501(c)3 religious organizations and enjoy faith-based audio content like bedtime bible stories. Members can access inspirational testimonies through its mini-series “Life, Leadership, and Legacy” that feature some of the world’s most passionate leaders like Dr. Kent Ingle, Roma Downey and Donovan Carter.

Pray.com has been an incredible resource for Southeastern University by connecting the prayer lives and spiritual community of our campus. The influence of apps and social media has a rapid impact on our culture, and it is amazing to see it used in such an effective way to increase the power of prayer. There is no doubt the future of faith-based audio content, educating young people and globally connecting individuals through prayer is headed in this direction,” said Kent Ingle, president of Southeastern University.

The pray.com platform has three main functions:

  • Free app that allows members to create prayer requests, pray for others and share answered prayers with people they love.
  • At no cost, join a faith community and make a donation to a local 501(c)3 religious organization with no fees in 2019.
  • Purchase a subscription to a cinematic audio experience including kids Bible shows, Bible-based meditations and bedtime Bible stories, as well as worship music and inspirational testimonies.

“I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to deliver on our mission of growing faith and cultivating community.
