Lakeland, Florida – This GivingTuesday, Bonnet Springs Park will celebrate giving by promoting the importance of city parks that will enrich communities and give back to the environment for years to come.
GivingTuesday, taking place December 3rd, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day and touches every person on the planet.
By donating any amount, big or small, you’ll help Bonnet Springs Park meet our goal of $100,000. The vision of BSP is to enrich our community through nature, culture, recreation, and education. Our park serves to unify the city’s diverse population, offering public spaces that serve the needs of many by providing engaging and diverse opportunities in education and recreation to residents and visitors alike.
“This is one way for everyone in our community to become a part of this legacy project. Any gift big or small WILL make a difference and what a fun way for us all to come together on one day in support of Bonnet Springs Park.” – Kimberly Elmhorst, Board President, Friends of Bonnet Springs Park
Founded in 2012, GivingTuesday has inspired millions of people to give back and support the causes they believe in. In just seven years, GivingTuesday has radically changed how we think about generosity and showed just how much power communities everywhere have to create change.
