A letter from Chamber President & CEO Cory Skeates regarding “Chamber 365”
Thank you for being part of the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce over the past year. Your partnership with the Chamber is more important than ever. Whether we see you every week or once a year, we have your business in mind. Your investment in the Chamber enables us to provide a myriad of programs and services that are utilized by hundreds of businesses and thousands of individuals throughout our community.
This is an exciting time in Lakeland as we are experiencing significant growth. New small businesses pop up almost weekly and large corporations are investing significant resources which will impact our region for years to come. As a business leader, we know you work daily to grow your bottom line. That’s why we work tirelessly to grow the community. More rooftops and businesses mean more opportunities for you to sell your products and services. But we know there are also challenges you face, and we want to support your business as best we can.
As your local resource designed to navigate a changing business environment, we are here to uncover best practices, create opportunities for you to network with your peers, and provide you with tools to make your job easier and help you ensure financial success. Our job at the Chamber is never complete because there’s always a new opportunity arising or a challenge that may present itself. In furtherance of those efforts, you will be hearing more about the Chamber serving as a catalyst for the creation of a shared facility, known as the Business Resource Center, that will foster a collaborative approach to small business growth and develop affiliations with area resource partners.
As we move into the New Year, the Chamber will be instituting a minor price increase in our Business Builder level from $350 to $365 annually. This is the first such increase in many years and allows us to better serve your business needs and the community as a whole.
The “Chamber 365 Initiative” will allow us to continue to debut initiatives such as 2019’s New Business 101, Quickbooks Training, Management Training, Human Resources Series, the ATHENA Awards recognizing women business leaders and www.BidSimpleOnline.com Leads Generation Software. At the core of this initiative is understanding the we, as a Chamber, need to continue working to find new solutions to the challenges you face every day like finding and retaining qualified employees and better ways to market your business.
Further, we are currently working to make additional payment options available, including monthly direct debits via ACH.
REMEMBER – this is YOUR chamber. We are always interested in hearing what you have to say. Your suggestions and ideas for new programs, services, and the like are given serious consideration. And if you’ve never shared those ideas, please feel free to email them to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org anytime.
If you have questions or would like to get your business more involved with the Chamber, contact us at the email above or call us at 863-688-8551. Once again, thank you for your continued investment in the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce. We look forward to working with you in 2020.
Thanks for all you do!
President & CEO
