SPCA Florida Mega Adoption Success

Lakeland, FL— SPCA Florida Mega Adoption Event on Saturday, June 8th at RP Funding Center in Lakeland, FL was a huge success.  Two Hundred Ninety-Four wonderful furry companions found their new forever homes – big dogs, small dogs, senior pets, adult cats, puppies and a whole lot of kittens.

With an adoption fee of just $20.00, many families were able to give a pet a new home and a new life.  All animals were spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

SPCA Florida partnered with Polk County Animal Control, local Veterinary Clinics, and Polk County Humane Society to bring Polk County’s homeless animals together for this event.

“We were thrilled at the outpour of support from our community,” said SPCA Florida Executive Director, Shelley Thayer. “Over 1,000 people turned out to find a forever friend and save a life”.

Sponsors who have made this event possible include Petco Foundation in partnership with BOBS From Skechers, Petfinder Foundation, and Lakeland Automall.
