Florida Veterinary Medical Association Recognizes Past President at Annual Conference

Orlando, FL — The FVMA’s 91st President Dr. Marc Presnell was honored for his past year of service to the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA) at the Annual Awards Ceremony & Installation of Officers on May 17. Dr. Presnell will now serve on the FVMA Executive Board as past president, where he also becomes president of the FVMA Foundation.

Dr. Presnell has served on the FVMA Board for seven years, finishing his yearlong tenure as the 2018-2019 president. He was the FVMA District 3 Representative for five years, serving veterinarians in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Polk counties as the Association’s main point of contact for three local veterinary medical organizations: the Central Florida VMA, Ridge Veterinary Society and Lake County VMA.

He graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986 and served on the FVMA Budget and Finance Committee for eight years. Dr. Presnell was presented with the Veterinarian of the Year Award in 2017 and the Gold Star Award in 2009.

His practice — Santa Fe Animal Hospital in Lakeland — has served clients in Lakeland, Winter Haven and Auburndale over the past 20 years, and was named “Small Business of the Month” in December 2016 by the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce.
