- Eric Wicks, MD, Lakeland Regional Health Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon, recently authored a piece in the prestigious Journal of Emergency Medicine. The article addresses “Missed Thrower’s Fracture of the Humerus in a Pediatric Athlete.” In addition, Dr. Wicks was inducted into the Berkshire High School Athletic Hall of Fame in Burton, Ohio. He was honored for his participation in football, basketball and track as a student-athlete. Dr. Wicks sees children and adults at the Grasslands Campus.
- Erjola Balliu, MD, Lakeland Regional Health Endocrinologist, recently earned her Certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Balliu, who sees adults and children at the Pablo Campus in Lakeland, is also certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism.
- Jennifer Cipriano, BSN, RN, CMSRN, Lakeland Regional Health Trauma Continuum of Care Coordinator, recently earned her certification as a National Child Passenger Safety Technician from Safe Kids Worldwide. Ms. Cipriano is now qualified to administer child safety seat checks and continues to provide community presentations.
