The 2019 State of the Workforce Summit This Year’s Theme “CSPN Presents Super Bowl XVII”

Lakeland, Florida, January 14, 2019 – CareerSource Polk will be holding the 2019 State of the Workforce Summit on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the RP Funding Center from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The half-day Summit will offer company executives, education staff, community leaders, and human resource professionals, information regarding critical information on business issues.

The Summit’s sessions will confront critical topics in the workplace with presentations such as “#METOO – Avoiding Gender?Based Claims in the Workplace and in the Media”, “Six Ways Managers Get Into FMLA Trouble”, “A Declaration of Independence ? Is That Enough to Qualify as an Independent Contractor for your Business? We Think NOT!”, “Managing Millennials in the Workforce” and much, much more.

Wendy Sellers, President of “The HR Lady”, the Summit’s keynote speaker will discuss “If Leaders Only Knew What We Really Think of Them”. Wendy is a passionate HR Consultant, Leadership Coach, author, and speaker. She has worked with hundreds of corporations and associations conducting management training, leadership development and HR advisory services.  This humorous session is about reflecting as a professional and asking the question “Am I part of the problem?”  Employees, managers and leaders will come out of these sessions with a new perspective to change their work-place behaviors and actions immediately.
