Join Lakeland Community Theatre for National Dance Day – July 28

National Dance Day is an annual event and “grassroots initiative to encourage the nation, young and old, to move!” in the United States. This event occurs annually on the last Saturday of July.

Locally, Lakeland Community Theatre invites you to “get your move on” on Saturday, July 28 to perform and record a hip hop routine choreographed by So You Think You Can Dance star Lauren Gottleib. There is a rehearsal of the dance planned on July 14 at 10 a.m. Local choreographer Caroline Williams and her assistants will be on hand to teach the movements to anyone who wants to participate! In an email from LCT, organizers say:

“Young or old, trained or not, we would love to see as many people there as possible to learn this dance so that we can send in a recording of our theatre family dancing to the National Dance Day Web site.”
