USFP Blue Sky Presents SBIR/STTR Grants Info Seminar – April 17

The University of South Florida Polytechnic’s Blue Sky business incubator program invites entrepreneurs and small-business owners to attend a “SBIR/STTR Grants Information” seminar April 17 at Blue Sky West (116 S. Kentucky Avenue, Lakeland). Networking starts at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.  There is no cost to attend.

Wayne Brass, Pinellas County area manager for the Florida Small Business Development Center, will discuss receiving grant funding for innovative technologies.

SBIR (small business innovation research) and STTR (small business technology transfer) is a federal government program that provides grant money for small businesses to explore their technological potential to give incentive to profit from commercialization of this technology.  Brass will also explain Enterprise Florida’s Phase 0 program, which provides funding for the grant application process.
