Lakeland Regional Calls Upon the Community to bring the LIVESTRONG® Pillars4Life Program to Area Cancer Patients

Staff at Lakeland Regional strives to improve services by providing programs that meet the needs of all members of the community. Now, they are calling upon the Polk County area – and beyond — to join in these efforts.

LRMC applied for funding from LIVESTRONG to implement a program proven to support those fighting cancer and that application has been selected to advance to the final stage — a vote by the broader community. The organizations receiving the most votes within their regions will be awarded funds, materials and training to implement the Pillars4Life patient support program.

In addition to receiving funds to implement a sustainable program dedicated to supporting families fighting cancer, finalists will also receive tools and resources from the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

“We are thrilled and honored to be selected as a candidate for Pillars4Life,” said Carol Fox, RN, MSN, CPHQ, CPMSM, ACM, medical affairs director at Lakeland Regional.  “We share LIVESTRONG’s passion for inspiring and empowering people affected by cancer and look forward to working together to make a difference in the lives of cancer survivors and their families, without cost to them.”
