First opened in April 2009, MJ’s Cuban Cafe has a new location and a new name, but still the same great food! Here is an excerpt from Trent Rowe’s (3 1/2 Star) review of MJ’s Bakery Café on May 28, 2009 in their previous location on Combee Road. Read the original review here.

The real estate world’s loss is the restaurant world’s gain.

Henry Quintana and his wife, Mary Jo, came here from Miami and, thanks to the economy, what they intended to do didn’t happen. Instead, they took over the closed restaurant on Combee Road that was Sophia’s and turned it into MJ’s Bakery Cafe opening the doors in early April.

Hours have changed, as has the “bakery” name, but Mary Jo still makes the desserts and Henry still runs the kitchen. Be sure to stop by for a daily special or just a Cafe con Leche or Cuban latte.

Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Friday, 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
