Back by popular demand, Brian Wesbury will offer his perspective on the national economy.  Mr. Wesbury is one of America’s prominent economists and economic forecasters. He is the Chief Economist at First Trust Advisors L.P., a financial services firm based in Lisle, Illinois and serves on the Board of Advisors to First Trust Capital Partners, an affiliated private-equity firm. Brian is a monthly contributor for the American Spectator magazine and regularly published in the Wall Street Journal, and has been a CNBC Contributor since 2007.

New to our event, Dr. Robert Lang will join us to offer his perspective on the future growth and economic potential of Polk County and the Central Florida region.  Robert Lang has made a strong mark as one of America’s pre-eminent experts on the many faces- urban, suburban and exurban – of physical and population growth across North America.  An urban planning and policy expert, Dr. Lang focuses on suburban studies; demographic and spatial analysis; metropolitan governance; the “built environment”; and other issues of environmental psychology. He is a director of the Metropolitan Institute at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is research director for the Brookings Mountain West Initiative with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
